Cooperative Coffees Inc. founded, Americus, Georgia, First roaster-owned green coffee importing cooperative
2005
5th annual meeting hosted in Guatemala results in the Xela Accords, an action statement about Fair Trade, raising minimum prices and building sustainable relationships that continues to guide our work today
2010
Establish a quality control lab in our Montreal office to support importing and members
2013
Establish the Roya Fund, raising money through sales, to provide aid and resources to our producer partners affected by leaf rust
2016
The Roya Fund evolves into the Impact Fund; roasters pay a US$.03/lb on all purchases to invest in producer cooperatives within our supply chain
2017
Launch the Carbon, Climate and Coffee Initiative
2018
Guaranteed minimum FOB price now US$ 2.20/ lb for all organic purchases Become Certified B Corporation®

Ed brings over two decades of experience in coffee, specializing in quality, transparency, and regenerative agricultural practices to improve livelihoods and trade systems.
Felipe began as an intern in 2010. Today, he oversees all sourcing from Latin America, forging meaningful relationships and partnerships with producers that have a regenerative impact.
Matt oversees the day-to-day aspects of coffee quality, collaborating with members to monitor current trends and create innovative quality solutions
Mike transitioned from co-founding Just Coffee Cooperative to managing sales growth and innovation for Cooperative Coffees, driven by his passion for the industry
Melissa brings extensive experience in Fair Trade and sustainability, focusing on projects that enhance economic and environmental outcomes for producer cooperatives.
Becky ensures smooth inbound coffee processing and certification compliance, combining her logistics expertise with a passion for sustainability.
Since 2015, Nancy has managed the logistics that support farmers and roasters across our global network.
Since 2004, Abby has kept the Coop’s finances in check, using her accounting expertise to support our mission to positively impact the lives of coffee farmers and their families.
Bill has strong roots in Fair Trade. He is the CFO of Café Campesino, a member of Cooperative Coffees and is also the Founder and former President of Cooperative Coffees.
Deborah manages communications and Canadian operations. She brings extensive experience from the world of publishing to her work at Cooperative Coffees.
With a background in film and photography, Molly is helping to shape and share the stories of our members and partners.
With a background in computer science and over six years experience, Yidir crafts reliable software systems, aligns technology and sustainability for better outcomes.
Marty specializing in high-energy field calibration and temporal logistics. On the weekends he likes to drive his Delorean at 88 MPH and loves visiting the past... or is it the future.
