Finca El Trapiche is located about 6 kilometers from the center of Marcala. Cristobal, from a very young age, has been producing coffee with his father. He is a second generation coffee producer and with his father he began experimenting with the special preparation of coffees 

The farm is a family enterprise, where Cristobal works along with his wife and son. They each have their own responsabilities in growing and processing the coffee. Their collective work ultimately results in an excellent quality product for the consumer, which brings them great satisfaction as a family.

El Trapiche is 100% organic, implementing environmentally friendly and life-promoting production techniques. Here Cristobal prepares organic fertilizer with coffee byproduct. He and his family also raise cattle and chickens, as well as cultivating basic staple foods such as corn and beans.

In the last few years, thanks to COMSA's orientation, they have been experimenting with processing techniques such as natural and honey processes in order to render excelent qualities in their coffee.

Cristóbal and his family invite you to consume high quality organic products, in order to avoid diseases that may be caused by excesive pesticide use in today's modern agriculture.

Natural process: The coffee is harvested by selecting the ripest red cherries, avoiding any green or defective cherries. The coffee is then dried on concrete patios the same day it's harvested. Drying takes anywhere between 20 to 22 days, depending on weather conditions.
