Our coffee purchases can be a powerful force for social change in the world. That's what we believe. Here at Green Bean, we're building personal relationships with coffee farmers half a world away. And we roast their coffee right here in rural Manitoba. Enjoy every sip. IT WAS ONE OF THOSE NOW OR NEVER MOMENTS For a decade Derryl Reid fantasized about owning a small coffee company. When he turned 40, Derryl realized how quickly "some day" can turn into never. Not wanting to take his dreams to the grave, Derryl quit his solid job and founded Green Bean. Although Green Bean will not buy from any company that doesn't maintain high ethical standards, Derryl saw no problem with enlisting a little child labour. Derryl's daughter, Alix, is now an adult and is the other half of Green Bean.
